We have developed our engineered solutions into a line of custom products manufactured by Dynamic Acoustic Designs. Our products and product design solutions can range from a large monolithic wall of acoustical treatments to small individual units. Our products can be packaged with SoundKinetics acoustical engineering services.
Engineered Fabric Panel Systems
Our fabric covered panel systems are designed to meet specific technical and aesthetic requirements for engineered spaces such as home theaters, studio control rooms, screening rooms and worship spaces. Our treatment panels are composed of variable bandwidth diffusers and variable bandwidth absorbers. A diversity of fabrics are offered - some more acoustically transparent than others. This is accounted for in the overall transfer function of absorption and diffusion for an installation.
KineticAbsorber™ Is a versatile and thin absorber/bass trap with an wide bandwidth. The KineticAbsorber combines diaphragmatic and porous absorption mechanisms to increase low frequency absorption. There several versions of the KineticAbsorber for specific applications. The first is a wide bandwidth design for applications where more high frequency absorption is needed. The second has contoured absorption for less high frequency absorption. Other versions include custom absorption contours. The top Image on the right is an example of large KineticAborber panels in between wood columns
KineticADG™ (Aperture Diffraction Grating™) is an acoustical diffuser or tuned diffuser/absorber. Our application of number theory creates a thin phase grating surface that scatters sound. Conventional phase grating diffusers use deep wells to achieve wider bandwidths. These diffusers can suffer from cavity resonance issues. The KineticADG design mitigates these colorations by application of multiple thin phase gratings. The base design is a platform from which a number of bandwidth and levels of diffusion can be achieved. The power response level of diffusion of the KineticADG is determined by the amount of absorption in the phase grating transfer function. Diffusion bandwidths typically range from 400Hz- 8kHz (depending on sequence width and physical depth). The bottom Image on the right is a variation one of our KineticADG Diffusers.
