About Us
SoundKinetics is a group of dedicated engineers that are passionate about acoustics and architecture. SoundKinetics can solve acoustic problems and provide consultation for a multitude of acoustical and noise control issues. We have been addressing residential and commercial acoustic problems since 2004. Since 1997, our personnel have been working together on acoustic research projects, engineered acoustical materials, advanced audio transducers, and active and passive noise & vibration control for a multitude of clients.
Our History
We started back in the late 90's researching loudspeaker transducer materials for a loudspeaker cone manufacturer. We formed an alliance with the University of Denver School of Engineering. They provided us with a space that we converted into a hemi-anechoic chamber to perform acoustic research. We soon engaged faculty, undergrad and grad students on special projects. This prompted a five year journey with research projects on polymers, aerogels, acoustical materials and loudspeaker transducers. This would also take us to well-known labs such as Sandia National Labs and other local research labs. Additional work in acoustics during this period was engineering work in the loudspeaker, electronics and automotive industries.
We applied what we learned to develop a variety of innovative acoustical technologies and solutions. We started with work on electro-acoustics, electronics and advanced polymers. The market demand soon encouraged us to add engineering services for architectural acoustics. Presently SoundKinetics as an operating unit specializes in architectural acoustics design and engineering.
